Experience and Education

Natalie Gavi is a Los Angeles based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and a nationally recognized non-diet nutrition expert who is passionate about the power that food plays in health, athletic performance, and every day life.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Science from The University of Illinois at Chicago. She then went on to complete her dietetic internship at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR, where she completed >1200 hours of supervised practice through various clinical and community settings prior to sitting for the national boards exam required to become a dietitian.

Natalie also completed her Masters in Science degree with a focus in Clinical Nutrition at OHSU. She researched growth and carnitine status of children treated with the ketogenic diet for intractable epilepsy.

She opened her private practice, Gavi Nutrition, LLC, in 2015 and primarily works with equestrian athletes. She specializes in performance nutrition and intuitive eating, where she helps riders learn how to optimally fuel & nourish their bodies so they could feel their best in and out of the saddle.

She currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her cat Erice, her OTTB Stella, and her mini doxie Luna. In addition to working with clients in her private practice, she works at UCLA Medical Center.

When she isn't working, you can find her at the barn and exploring the beaches, food scene and hikes around L.A.
